What Sidecar adds

Reports your Square dashboard doesn't give you.

Three reports most boutique owners never get. Sidecar builds them from the detail already sitting in your Square account.

Sell-through by size and color

Sidecar breaks every style down by size and color, so you see exactly which ones sold. Reorder the Mediums that ran out, mark down the Extra-Smalls that didn't move.

Sage38%71%84%62%22%
Clay41%66%92%78%35%
Oat12%29%44%31%9%

Reorder Clay in M and L. Oat has sold under a third of what came in — mark it down before the season turns.

A drawer that reconciles

Sidecar checks every cash drawer: the opening float, the cash taken and the count at close, side by side. A short drawer becomes a number with a name and a time on it, not a hunch.

Read-only, by design

Sidecar only asks Square for read permissions. It can't edit your items or move money.

Connect once, stay connected

You sign in to Square once. Sidecar keeps the connection active behind the scenes, so your reports keep updating without you lifting a finger.

Revoke and it stops

Remove Sidecar in your Square dashboard and we stop reading within moments.

How we handle your data

Questions

Square, specifically.

What does Sidecar ask Square for permission to do?
Read-only access to your locations, items, inventory, orders, payments, customers, team, timecards and cash drawers. Nothing that lets us change or charge anything. You'll see the full list on Square's own permission screen before you agree.
I have several Square locations. Do I connect each one?
No. One sign-in covers your whole Square account; you then choose which locations to bring into Sidecar. Each keeps its own time zone and business day.
How up to date is it?
Square tells Sidecar when a sale happens, so new sales usually appear within a couple of minutes. Sidecar also checks on a schedule, so nothing is missed even if a notification is.
Do I have to reconnect every month?
No. Square's access expires every 30 days and Sidecar renews it automatically, well before it does. If you ever revoke access in Square, Sidecar stops straight away and lets you know.
Can I use Square and Clover together?
Yes — some owners run one shop on each. Sidecar reports on both side by side.
